*Scarlet O’Hatters of Allen is open to members
49+ who are interested in having fun in a “disorganized manner,” while
enjoying other ladies who are going or have gone through the same journey in
life. Our purpose is to celebrate this time in our lives and to appreciate all
that we have become.
*50+ members are Divas, the Crown Jewels of the
Scarlett O’Hatters, members (age 49) are our “Ladies in Waiting”.
*The poem “Warning” by Jenny Joseph is our
creed and is recited at each bimonthly membership luncheon.
*Bimonthly membership luncheons will be held on
the third Tuesday of the specified month.
*There are no dues. When finances are needed, a
red hat will be passed among the members for contributions.
*Participation will be based on the cafeteria
plan. Choose, create or help create and/or plan, and attend any activities
that interest you. Members attending an activity will share in the cost or
contribute their share when appropriate.
*A future Diva member will attend a bimonthly
membership luncheon, if she wants to join, she makes her request known to the
Founding Assistant Queen Mother and provides the necessary information for the
Royal Roster.
*The Scarlet O’Hatters of Allen are
predominantly an internet “dis organization” and do not make phone calls nor
assign phone buddies. Each Diva
not having internet access is responsible for arranging her own phone buddy to
keep her informed of activities, events, etc.
*Ladies may not hold duel membership in the
Scarlet O’Hatters of Allen and another Red Hat Society Chapter.
*The Royal Roster is updated every January.
Each October, a membership status request will be made to the Divas. If a Diva
has any changes with her information during the year, she should notify the
Local E-Mail Female Queen with her changes. If a Diva desires to become
inactive, she will notify the Founding Assistant Queen Mother.
*Approved “courtesy information public
announcements” NOT related to Red Hat Society, may occasionally be sent to our
membership. These must be submitted to and approved by the Assistant Founding
Queen Mother.
